Aditya Kalahasti is from Solon, Ohio (near Cleveland) and was raised in a South Indian household. He is an International Studies major and Sustainability minor at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and is primarily focused on the intersection of environmental issues and international affairs. In college, he is part of ECO-UM, an environmental student organization, and the Virulent Hate Research Project.

He has previously worked in the US House and Canadian Parliament, and is excited to expand on some of the political skills he gained at the South Asian Legal Defense Fund in service of his own community. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the Carnatic violin and mridangam, watching comedy TV shows, and reading science fiction books.
